Galkina, Silkina, Dmitriev, Barsukov – Lartsevo, June 2016
Folk of the 21st century. Ersatz-exoticism. The impossibility of rational in something already worthless. The possibility of irrational in something yet worthy. Ethno born in hangars and concrete boxes. Water-pipes, trash of all kinds, broken musical instruments – anything that is easily available, preferably free, outside of the music tradition. Natural reverberations even in places where you can’t imagine them. This time it’s a hollow sphere about 18 meters in diameter designed for a radar station which happened to end up in the forest near Dubna.
Recorded by N. Silkina
Idea by G. Avrorin
