about

CAA-18
TODD BARTON(US) has been exploring various analog
synthesizer systems for more than 40 years. He is obsessed
with the flexibility, tactility, musicality of the Buchla system.

For CAA Todd has chosen three compositions performed on Buchla
200e Electric Music Box. First models of this iconic synthesizer was invented in the 1960s by Don Buchla, a former NASA engineer.
Nowadays these synthesizers are the most expensive modular analog
systems, rare and collectable instruments, with exclusive sound
and functions. The 200e-series modules are Don Buchla's new design for the 21st century.

For Todd Barton his Buchla Electric Music Box is a sonic
ecosystem with endless opportunities for creativity
and sonic exploration.

All tracks composed on the Buchla 200e Electric Music Box
by Todd Barton(US).
